Midwife update.

So, we had a midwife appointment today. Tests as follows:

blodpressure: 130/60 [See, that is how you can tell that Swedish is getting to me - I spell things in Swedish instead of in English.... "blod." I spend half my time writing and the other half going through and changing half my spelling from Swedish to English]
glucose: 4.5 (which is down from our very constant 5.1)
iron: 123

Baby's heartbeat was around 159. It was averaging between 150-160, but stayed mostly on the high end. The baby was moving around a lot (like always), so the sound would go in and out a bit. :)

A very sweet, old salesman today referred to the baby as "Karl-Astrid." :)) Since we don't know what type it is that is what he named the child. :)

Caesar has been very restless the last few days.. :/ We've had constant rain, and rain for the next 2 weeks is expected (every day) ... so we feel a little bad for him. He plays with his toys for awhile, but eventually we have to throw him outside because he won't stop running around.

But we had a very simple, fast midwife appointment today. She measured the belly and mentioned what we will go over in our next appointment. The appointments are now 2 weeks apart, so July 18th is our next meeting. Then she will take my weight and do a urine test (test for protein and sugar in the urine). And then the meeting after that, we'll write out our "birthing-plan" and have that in a folder with other important information and we'll keep that with us to take with us to the BB (maternity ward) when the baby comes. :) (It will be slightly updated each appointment until the baby shows up.)

We asked her about renting a car seat! She said we can do that through the hospital. So that is good to know. You can rent them for the first 9 months, with a deposit and a fee. I'm still thinking that we are going to rent one and then maybe buy one while in the US.

I think we are having a very normal, low-risk pregnancy. :) Everything seems to be going very well. I have gained a little weight, though! Since before the pregnancy and until now (6½ months), I think I've gone up 5 pounds (2 kilos). Almost half of that should be the baby, and the rest is "the yummy stuff around the baby" as Fredrik likes to put it. :)

When we are lounging on the couch together, he will put his hand on my belly, and if nothing is happening he'll take a couple of fingers and poke around, trying to make the baby move. :)))

I think that is all for now! This weekend we are going to rearrange our room a little, so we can set up the closets when we get them put together.
