A wonderful day!

We had such a wonderful day today! :) We were able to see so many friends and we received so many beautiful presents. Lots of clothes and some beautiful, handmade gifts. Everything was wonderful and we had so much fun. :) Men aren't allowed to go to baby showers, but Fredrik got to join in on the fun. :)

And I had a huge surprise waiting for me..!
One of my very best friends from school, Carie, flew in from Kansas to surprise me!! She and my mom had kept the secret from me since this summer! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw her. We haven't had the chance to see each other since the end of high school, 9 1/2 years ago! Right after high school, Carie went into the US Air Force and I left for University. It was so fantastic to see her! She flew in yesterday, and she is flying back home tomorrow morning. Her husband is also in the Air Force and he has been in UAE for awhile now, but he is coming home in the middle of January, and I know Carie is looking forward to his return. :)

A few hours after the shower, Carie and her son, Trenton, came to the house for a visit and we had many hours of talking and laughing about old times and new.

We have lots of pictures from the day, but those will have to come later! I'll try to do that tomorrow. I'm tired! :)

Around 13.00 it started snowing and it has been snowing almost the entire time since! We are expecting 12 inches (30 cm) of snow tonight. We already have a few inches. And then it is supposed to snow the rest of the weekend. We have decided to cancel our trip on Monday. We were going to push it back to Tuesday, to try to avoid the bad weather. But we decided that we are all so tired from our long first week here, and we have plenty of things to do to keep us busy, that we should maybe not go. It is a little sad, but it is a long trip to drive, and a long trip not only for Leia, but for all of us!
