Leia was fantastic the entire trip! She didn't cry or complain once!
On our flight to Chicago, there were 2 other infant babies, both around 4 months old. And there were about 4 toddlers as well. The other 2 infants were very loud and cried, Leia never made a peep. :) She slept and sat in our laps and laid in her bassinet. :) We were able to both eat without any trouble, but we didn't get to sleep any. :( So by the time we got to Chicago, Fredrik and I were very, very tired.. :/
As soon as we entered Arlanda (Stockholm's airport), two steps inside, the first person walked up to us (a worker) and started raving about Leia..... :/ And it continued like that the rest of the trip. :) We could have smuggled elephants through security because the security people were more interested in Leia and didn't pay attention to anything else.. :/ :)))
(Taking me twice as long to type everything....... American keyboards have a different layout and I don't remember where all the keys are...... :D )
Immigration was a breeze.. Fredrik was allowed to go through the US citizens line with Leia and I and there wasn't one person in that line, so.. we got through a little quicker than the couple of hundred people in the immigrant line.. :)) I asked the cop standing there if he could go with Leia and I (both US citizens) and he asked where Fredrik was from, and since it was Sweden, he said it was okay.
While still in Arlanda, we realized it was easier to carry Leia than to use the baby carrier. With having to take off so much stuff (jackets) and with all our bags, and then with taking off shoes and belts even for the US ... we needed to pass her back and forth too much. So, it was much easier to just carrier her around.
As soon as we started going through O'Hare, I was carrying her, and she fell asleep in two seconds. And she slept the entire way through the airport, even through security. We realized that our flight, that was supposed to leave at 14.45, was pushed back to 17.00. Chicago was expecting an ice storm, and all the flights to Cincinnati and Cleveland were cancelled besides our own. Then the flight was pushed back to 18.00. Then the added two new flights to Cleveland and bumped up our flight to 17.35. Then 18.00 rolled around and we still hadn't left.. :P Then they kept pushing the flight back 10 minutes until the airplane showed up. We borded the plane at 18.30 and taxied and waited in line on the tarmac until 19.20...... :/ But we ended up arriving in Cleveland at 20.00 Chicago time (21.00 Cleveland time). The pilot made the 2 hour flight in 40 minutes. :D We were all very thankful. :)
Leia slept in Fredrik's jacket in the seats in the airport.. :) She slept the time we waited for the flight and she slept the entire flight to Cleveland and slept until we got to my parents' house. :) She was fantastic. :) She couldn't have done any better than she did. We are so proud of her. :) On the SAS flight they gave her a little teddy bear. :)
Besides the delayed flight, the trip was the best we've ever taken.
We were sooooo tired waiting in Chicago, though. :/ I was dead and tried to nap a little. Thank God for Starbucks! :D I was going to ask for whatever has the most caffeine in it, but didn't for Leia's sake.. :D So I got a pepperment hot chocolate and it was super yummy. :) And probably the best chocolate chip cookie I've ever had.. :)
We couldn't find Mormor and Morfar in the airport, but we found them eventually. :) Mormor and Morfar got up during the night with Leia so that Fredrik and I could sleep. :) And we really appreciated that!
I'll have pictures soon! :)

So glad she did so good on the flights, I was praying for you. Babies have a way of knowing when they need to be good. Have fun while in OH and say hello to everyone. Have a wonderful baby shower and a safe trip back...next year (that sounds weird) :)
