And I forgot to mention our anniversary.. it was awhile ago.. :/ :) On December 15th, Fredrik and I had our 9 year anniversary! That was when we met in 1998. A long time ago. :/ :)) And I realized that out of the last 9 years, I've only had 3 or so Christmas' in the US! I've always been in Sweden during that time of the year.
It is normal for children to wake up very, very early in the morning and go and wake their parents up and want to open presents.. :) Leia woke up at 5 this morning, and after I fed her, I was very tempted to go wake up my parents and demand that we open presents.. :D ..But I didn't.. :P And we didn't open until around 10.30 or so. Fredrik cheated and he showered before we opened presents..... Not supposed to do that!! Everyone has to look equally horrible for all the pictures.. :D
So, here are our pictures from Leia's First Christmas!
We all received some wonderful presents. :) Leia fell asleep while we were opening presents. But she really enjoyed looking at everything while she was awake.
Leia received some books from Mamma and Pappa. Soft ones that she can take in the bathtub and chew on and they won't get ruined. And we also bought her a small, green stuffed... thing that we are sure she will like. :)
Mormor and Morfar bought her some clothes, some books, and some toys. :)
Aunt Missy and her cousins got her a blanket and some clothes. And ex-uncle Paul got her a gift certificate to Amazon.com. And we hope to buy her some movies or cartoons, or mabye some books that aren't too heavy to take home.
Fredrik and I plan to go to the movies this afternoon after our traditional early dinner. It is so expensive to go to the movies in Sweden, about 120sek a ticket ($20), no matter what time of the day. In the US, if you go during the day, it is about 5$ (ca 32sek!!!!) a ticket and at night it is about 9$ (ca 60sek)!! So, we are wanting to go to the movies as much as we can while we are here, especially since we have live-in babysitters. :))
Merry Christmas!!
