Fredrik's workmates ask him every day if the baby has shown up - which is nice for them asking, but a little redundant, because he wouldn't be at work if the baby had shown up!! :)
Tomorrow, 10 o'clock, we have our midwife appointment. Before the appointment we were going to go to the office where we learn how to take care of our parent-leave money, but Fredrik talked to his boss (who is presently on ½ leave for parent-time) and he explained everything - so that is nice. Because the office in town is only open about 3 hours a week, and it is next to impossible to catch it when it is open. But tomorrow after the midwife appointment we are finally going to go apply for my Swedish passport! I have to have one. It is a universal law that if you are a citizen of a country, you HAVE to enter that country with that country's passport. It is illegal otherwise, and you can be refused entry at immigration. But getting this done will be another item to cross off of our to-do list. :)
I put all the papers together for the baby, to: register the birth with the US, apply for a Social Security Number (same as a Swedish personnummer), and apply for a US passport, and have them packed to take to the hospital. I figured that would be the best time we have to fill out all the papers. :/ :)
Rain, rain, rain. And cold. :/ Soon this rain will turn to snow. I hope we get a few walks in before the snow comes!
Fredrik is doing well. Maybe more anxious than I am. :)) Caesar is getting heavier, still building up his winter fat and fur.
But Fredrik called the hospital to reserve one of the car seats from them. And they said it wasn't necessary to reserve one, that they had plenty so we can just get one when we get there. You can rent them for 9 months, with a fee and a deposit, 500:- total (70$). Our midwife says that most everyone rents them (because of how expensive car seats are).
Nervous for the car ride to the hospital! :))
There are traffic speeding cameras the entire road to the hospital (how stupid is that?!?!?!). Who puts speeding cameras on the main road to a hospital?!
We asked the midwife if there is any way to get any tickets voided out after the baby shows up (so we can speed and get tickets, but not have to pay! - so we can get to the hospital faster), but she said that isn't possible to do. :/ She said that we just have to learn where the cameras are and slow down before coming to them! :))
But now I need to go check on the laundry! :)
