Happy 5th Birthday, Caesar!

Today is Caesar's 5th birthday. (Or we are saying that today is his birthday.) :) He was born sometime around the middle of July, so we picked the 15th.

He is officially an adult Norwegian Forest Cat. And all his growing has finally come to an end! (Besides his bulging belly.)

This is him sleeping half-way under the cover at the summer house. How he gets himself situated - we have no idea, but he loves sleeping under covers (or partially under covers) and with his head on pillows.

Some more adorable pictures of Mr. Kitties:

We had a very, very nice time this weekend!

On Friday we drove to Svinesund and did a little shopping for the baby. We bought a sheet set for the stroller, a few little things like toys for the bathtub, a blanket, etc.. etc..

We decided to ask one of the sales ppl if we could borrow a stroller and see if it fits in our car. She went out with us and she had a horrible time collapsing it.. :/ And then the stroller took up the entire part of our trunk (a station wagon / kombi). I'm not exaggerating, there was not one centimeter of space left on any side of the stroller. It was even difficult to close the trunk. So, that was extremely depressing... :/ Considering we just bought our car like...... 3½ months ago?? So, we are thinking about getting a Skoda.

But we had fun looking at baby stuff.. :) And all the stuff that really isn't necessary to have, but "they" tell you it is anyways, and of course you "have" to have it. :))

Then we drove from Svinesund to Ed and we met Sandy, her husband, Lennart, her daughter, Hailey, and Hailey's boyfriend, Pontus for dinner. And that was a lot of fun! It was just the 6 of us and it was very nice to chit-chat!

Then we woke up a little late on Saturday morning, and I made 2 batches of brownies, along with some other Swedish cookies I had made before we left home, to take to the BBQ. There were maybe 30 people there, including plenty of children. We were 5 Americans! :)) Besides Sandy, her daughter, and I, there were 2 other American women, with their Swedish significant others (one of which lives in Trollhätten! - the town where I have to give birth - so she isn't too far away!). And we had a great time chatting. (The rest of the people there were Swedish, Sandy or her husband's neighbors, co-workers or friends.) The party started at 13.00 and we eventually left around 17.00. It was very refreshing to chit-chat with some American gals. :)) Fredrik even said a few words here and there! :)) I think he really, really enjoyed himself, though, and he is looking forward to going next year. :))

And there was an adorable dog there, an English Setter, Felix, and he whispered in my ear that he wanted to come home with me.

Here are some pictures from the BBQ. Not many of them. And none of Fredrik and I in them. (Sorry!) But I know other people got pictures with us in them, so if I receive some, I'll put them here. The last picture are of the American gals and their Swedes. From left to right, it is Suzanne, her husband, Per, and then Nicole, and her sambo (live-in boyfriend), Simon. And the older man on the end is, I think, Mats, he is a teacher at the school.

It rained ALL day on Saturday, but it was a fantastic party anyways!

Fredrik mowed on Friday morning and it took 2 hours with the riding mower.

We got up this morning and Fredrik went fishing (too much water), and I packed up while he was away, and we got home at a good time today. We grilled chicken for dinner and the weather, even though windy, has been pretty nice today.

A picture of the summer house (newly painted):

And a few pictures of our bedroom falling into place:

We've put together another set of drawers since the pictures, and now Fredrik is putting more together now. And I have a feeling he would like my help. :) If I've forgotten anything, I'll post it tomorrow.
