Midwife appointment.

Today we had another barnmorska (midwife) appointment. And all is very well with the baby!

She had the results of all my blood tests and we talked about the TB test that I have to have (if I really have to have it or not, since North America isn't a risk country for TB). And we all agreed that a toxoplasmosis test is unnecessary.

She didn't have many tests to take today:
- blood pressure 130/60
- iron 126

She said my iron is perfect (better than it needs to be) so I don't have to take any extra tablets or pills.

She did the first measurement of my belly, so she can track the growth rate of the baby. And we listened to the heartbeat! :) It varied from 154-164, so she gave an average of 160. (Old Wives Tale: high heart rate = a girl!) ;)

And then after the appointment she introduced us to a... group leader. This new woman told us about all the different group get-togethers that we can sign up for. There is the regular group get-together, and then another one is an educational class about being a parent. And a third which helps the parents deal with... relationship issues.. :/ :) So, we are signing up for as many group meetings as possible (except the relationship one), so that we can meet people!

Fredrik has to go to Gothenburg on Wednesday. Someone thinks a pier.. or dock is sinking into the ocean, so he has to go measure. :/ :) He's going to try to get his work car on Saturday.

Still miserably hot.. :/ But today we had some loud thunder and a couple of minutes of soft rain. The rest of the week should start cooling down, so, we are looking forward to that.

We have a new midwife appointment: July 4th.
