Interesting info.

We found out a little info about our house!

Fredrik was out working on the slope in the yard in the beginning of the week, and the neighbor that lives right next door came home at the same time. And they stopped and chatted a few minutes.

The guy said that they've lived here about 6 years. And their youngest daughter's (4-5 yo) name is Emma. (So now Fredrik is determined to not use that name.) :/ :))

Fredrik asked for suggestions about what to do with that plot of our land, and he suggested some birch trees, that they would like that. :) So, we are thinking about putting in a few trees. Would give them some privacy, too, because we can see into all their windows and their deck and yard, so it would be nice for them I'm sure.
And it would give lots of shade in the area, and maybe prohibit the sun getting through to letting so much stuff grow there, and for once we wouldn't be upset if moss took over and kept the grass low! So, that is a good idea.

The guy said that there used to be a forest on the slope! And that there used to be a fence around the top of the yard.

Before the woman lived here (for 4 years, she is our age) a man from Serbia lived in the house. And he definately got rid of the fence and cut down the trees on the slope. What else he did, we don't know.

We plan on putting up a fence, to stop little feet from running over the edge of our "cliff." :) But we are going to do that next summer, and have my parents help out. We won't need it this summer, the little one will only be starting to walk next summer, so it will be perfect.

Hmmm.. and the guy asked if he could park his car next to our garage (at the bottom of the slope - no where near our house), because he is a volunteer firefighter! and he is on-call often and would like to park so his car isn't trapped in their driveway.

I think that is about it at least. They have to be the people closest in age to use around here, and they look like they are in their mid 30's at least. Everyone else is... 60+ .. :/ :))

So it was fun getting little tidbits of info. :)

Fredrik's work is going well. He's very busy, working at home in the evenings, on the phone all the time, etc.. And we have a feeling he is going to be having to do a lot more work on the sinking dock. They are afraid some of the buildings might be in danger of sinking as well. The commune is stalling with starting on the work ... and keep asking for it to be measured (even though they well know that the rocks holding up everything is sliding farther and farther into the ocean).

I'm doing well, too, I suppose. :/ :) Haven't felt the baby move in a few days, so anxiously awaiting to feel something again. And waiting out for that 28th week, when you are supposed to start counting and tracking baby movements (at least that is what is done in the US).

I'm bored and lonely. Miss all my friends and classmates. Anxiously awaiting the start of our parent-group get-togethers.
