Some good news.

We called our realtor last night, to see if she had gotten the contracts that we signed. (We've been having problems with our mail getting where it is supposed to be.) And she told us that the people moving in want to move in asap! So, that is good news! And it is super good news because that is one month less of avgift we have to pay! (Avgift = "rent." That is the closest word to translate it to - it is the monthly fee you have to pay when you live in a "rental." The cost covers property taxes and water in our case.) But we are very happy and excited that that is almost all taken care of!

We called the realtor because our "landlord" e-mailed us yesterday and asked if we had sold the place yet because several people had been coming around asking if it was still for sale and they were very interested. So, nice of him to keep us informed. :)

I also started checking flights for December. Looks like we are looking at dates anytime around or between December 10th-January 10th (we're trying to not fly around the holidays - cheaper that way). The flight is going to be a bit less than we were expecting, so that is some good news, too. Fredrik is going to check with his boss today to make sure that it won't be a problem to be gone for so long. It will be during the holidays, so things will be a little slower, and then he'll take his pappa-leave for the rest of the time. I'm only required to take 60 days of the allotted time for the both of us for work-leave (each parent has to take 60 days - the rest of the time can be divided as wanted), so he can take all the rest.

So, things are finally winding down and getting settled and planned. And finally Fredrik will have his first week (this week) of uninterrupted work, with no classes or baby-appointments. :)
